Tsavo East Safari Tours 2 Days. This private Mombasa overnight safari brings you to one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 11,747 square kilometres; Tsavo East National Park.
Overview of the Park
What make Tsavo East such a beautiful place to experience: Seeing dust-red elephant, Yatta Plateau (the longest lava flow in the world), Tsavo park features larger mammals including Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and bird life featuring over 500 recorded species.
Mudanda Rock. The Mudanda Rock is a 1.6 km inselberg of stratified rock that acts as a water catchment that supplies a natural dam below.
It offers an excellent vantage point for the hundreds of elephants and other wildlife that come to drink during the dry season.
Yatta Plateau. The Yatta Plateau, the world's longest lava flow, runs along the western boundary of the park above the Athi River. Its 290 km length was formed by lava from Ol Doinyo Sabuk Mountain.
Lugard Falls. Lugard Falls, named after Frederick Lugard, is actually a series of white water rapids on the Galana River.
Aruba Dam. Aruba Dam was built in 1952 across the Voi River. The reservoir created by the dam attracts many animals and water birds.
Wildlife. Tsavo East National Park is one of the world's largest game reserves, providing undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals.
A comprehensive list of the animal types found in Tsavo East includes the aardwolf, yellow baboon, cape buffalo, bushbaby, bushbuck, African wildcat, cheetah, dik-dik, African hunting dog, Blue Duiker, eland, and African elephant.
Also found in Tsavo East is the bat-eared fox, gazelle, large-spotted genet, small-spotted genet, gerenuk, giraffe, Coke's hartebeest, spotted hyena, rock hyrax, impala, black-backed jackal, Lesser Kudu, leopard, and lions.
Other game that may be seen during this 2 days 1 night safari to Tsavo East includes black faced vervet monkey, Sykes' monkey, fringe-eared oryx, clawless otter, crested porcupine, ratel, bohor reedbuck, black rhinoceros, serval cat, spectacled elephant shrew, bush squirrel, suni, warthog, waterbuck, common zebra and Grevy's zebra.
Birds. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the area, including ostriches, kestrels, buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds and herons.

2 Days Kenya Wildlife Holidays Safari - Detailed 2018/2019 Season Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East Safari
You will be picked in the early morning hours from your hotel in Mombasa north or south coast for departure on your first leg of this private and exclusive 1 night Tsavo East safari tour and wildlife adventure.
We will drive along the Nairobi – Mombasa road on a tarmac road for about 2-hours and then take a short break right at the Tsavo East Bachuma gate for a photo session.
Start game viewing and photography immediately upon entry; we will concentrating on the Aruba dam area where higher number of game are bound to be spotted.
Check into your lodge or tented camp and then enjoy a buffet lunch.
After a short post-lunch siesta, you will take an afternoon game drive within the Tsavo Park and later return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East - Mombasa
The last day of your two days Tsavo East safari departing from Mombasa will start with an early morning game viewing drive, returning to your lodge or tented camp for breakfast and check-out.
After check-out, enjoy a game drive as you exit the Tsavo East Park with an optional stop at a Maasai Village.
Lunch will be en-route and later you will dropped back to your hotel in Mombasa during the late afternoon hours at the end of this memorable 2 days Tsavo East safari.
