Overview of Tsavo East and Amboseli National Parks.
Mudanda Rock. The Mudanda Rock is a 1.6 km inselberg of stratified rock that offers an excellent vantage point for the hundreds of elephants and other wildlife that come to drink during the dry season.
Yatta Plateau. The Yatta Plateau, the world's longest lava flow, runs along the western boundary of the park above the Athi River. Its 290 km length was formed by lava from Ol Doinyo Sabuk Mountain.
Lugard Falls. Lugard Falls, named after Frederick Lugard, is actually a series of white water rapids on the Galana River.
Aruba Dam. Aruba Dam was built in 1952 across the Voi River. The reservoir created by the dam attracts many animals and water birds.
Wildlife Game Viewing. Tsavo East National Park is one of the world's largest game reserves, providing undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals. Wild game found in Tsavo East includes the cape buffalo, bushbaby, bushbuck, African wildcat, cheetah, dik-dik, African hunting dog, eland, and African elephant.
Other game found are gazelle, gerenuk, giraffes, Coke's hartebeest, spotted hyena, impala, black-backed jackal, Lesser Kudu, leopard, lion, fringe-eared oryx, black rhinoceros, serval cat, warthog, waterbuck, common zebra and Grevy's zebra.
Birds. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the area, including ostriches, kestrels, buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds and herons.

Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East
Picked in the early morning hours from your hotel in Mombasa north or south coast for departure on your first leg of this 2017/2018 season private 3 days Tsavo East and Amboseli wildlife safari.
We will drive along the Nairobi – Mombasa road on a tarmac road for about 2-hours and then take a short break right at the Tsavo East Bachuma gate for a photo session.
Start game viewing and photography immediately upon entry; we will concentrating on the Aruba dam area where higher number of game are bound to be spotted. Check into your lodge or tented camp and then enjoy a buffet lunch.
After a short post-lunch siesta, you will take an afternoon game drive within the Tsavo Park and later return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East - Amboseli
After an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, return to your luxury tented camp or lodge for breakfast and check-out as you depart for Amboseli National Park (will open separate page).
Experience another game viewing drive upon entering Amboseli as you head to your luxury tented camp or game lodge. Check into your accommodation base in Amboseli and enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. Marvel at the majestic Mt. Kilimajnjaro in the background with it's snow-capped peak visible on a clear day.
After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive within the Amboseli National Park looking out for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, leopard, cheetah and other wild game. Return to your luxury lodge or tented camp in the early evening to exchange stories and pictures followed by dinner and overnight in Amboseli.
Day 3: Amboseli - Mombasa
An early morning game viewing drive will start your last day of this private 3 days Tsavo East and Amboseli Park wildlife safari from Mombasa. Return to your luxury tented camp or lodge for breakfast and check-out.
Optional activity today include taking an Amboseli Balloon Safari with champagne breakfast!
The balloon safari in Amboseli National Park is a magical experience! You will spend one-and-a-half hours silently floating over the savannah in a hot air balloon, filling you with memories to last you a lifetime.
The balloon safari will be instead of the early morning game viewing drive. Balloon safari costs start from USD 550 per person.
Indulge in a game drive while exiting Amboseli National Park as you drive back to Mombasa with a stopover for lunch en-route. Optional visit to a Maasai Village.
