4 Days Lake Nakuru Masai Mara Safari. Overview of national parks / game reserves in Kenya you will visit during this Kenya game viewing safari.
Safari to Lake Nakuru National Park
One of the parks you will visit during this 4 days Lake Nakuru Masai Mara wildlife game viewing tour.
Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. The lake's abundance of algae attracts the vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore.
Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Black and white rhinos have also been introduced.
Lake Nakuru is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions, of flamingos nesting along the shores. The surface of the shallow lake is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink.
Also of interest is an area around the lake fenced off as a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes, black rhinos and white rhinos.
Among the predators are lion, cheetah and leopard, the latter being seen much more frequently in recent times.
The park also has large sized pythons that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.
As well as flamingos, there are myriad other bird species that inhabit the lake and the area surrounding it, such as African fish eagle, goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher and verreaux eagle.
The first day of your 3 nights Lake Nakuru Masai Mara safari will start here.

Safari to Masai Mara Game Reserve Kenya
The second park you will visit during this 3 nights Masai Mara safari tour.
Maasai Mara is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, game, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.
Masai Mara Game Reserve is ranked amongst the world's finest wildlife sanctuary with well over 450 species of animals having been sighted in this marvel of nature.
The endless plains of the Maasai Mara are the setting for the world's greatest wildlife spectacle - over 1.5 million animals, including the wildebeest and zebra migration.
They are in turn relentlessly tracked by Africa's great predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs, making for some of the most amazing hunting scenarios witnessed in the wild.
