Lake Manyara National Park
One of the parks you will visit during this 4 nights Tanzania wildlife safari
Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season.
More than 400 species of birds inhabit the park and many remain throughout the year. Because of this Lake Manyara National Park is a good spot for bird watching.
At the Lake Manyara National Park, you will find Leopards, lions, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelle, hippo, giraffe and impala. There is a hippo pond in the park where you can get out of the safari vehicle and observe the hippos from a safe distance. The lions in Lake Manyara are known to lounge in the trees while not hunting for prey, which is very unlike the lions in Kenyan parks.

Ngorongoro Crater National Park
Another one of the parks included in this 5 days private Tanzania wildlife safari
The Ngorongoro Crater, where the name Ngorongoro National Park comes from, is a large volcanic caldera that was formed millions of years ago. The Ngorongoro area originally was part of the Serengeti National Park and, to the northwest, adjoins the Serengeti National Park.
The annual Great Migration passes through Ngorongoro, with millions of wildebeest and zebra moving south into the area in December and then moving north in June. This movement changes seasonally with the rains, but the migration will traverse almost the entire plains in search of food.
Large animals in the crater include the black rhinoceros and the hippopotamus. There also are wildebeest, the zebra, the eland, and Grant's and Thompson's gazelles.
The crater has one of the densest known population of lions while on the crater rim you will find numerous leopards, elephants, mountain reedbuck and buffalo. A large lake in the middle of the crater is inhabited by hundreds of flamingoes, and from a distance, they appear as a pink border of the lake.

Tarangire National Park
One of the parks you will visit during this 4 nights wildlife safari in Tanzania
Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire river that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.
During the dry season thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park from Manyara National Park.
The Tarangire National Park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and the unique tree climbing lions. You will also expect to see zebra and wildebeest in addition to the less common animals.
Other common animals include waterbuck, giraffe, and olive baboons.
Home to more than 500 bird species, Tarangire is a perfect destination for bird enthusiasts who can expect so see dozens of species even during the dry season. The swamps in Tarangire make up the largest selection of breeding birds anywhere in the world.
Yellow-collared Lovebirds are a common bird sighting in the trees along the Tarangire River. Read more on Tarangire National Park Tanzania (will open on a new page).
